Welcome to the 2012 Cricket season. We expect this to be another challenging year both on and off the field, with our principal objective being to improve our facilities and playing experience for all our members.

Fixtures 2012

As a Hampshire Cricket Board Focus Club with Clubmark accreditation, we will strive to maintain and even better our position in Southern Electric Premier Division 2 which we hope will enable us to attract new members and additional sponsorship to offset our substantial cost pressures. We expect all our members to go that extra mile to maintain the success of our Club and to maximise their reward from playing the game we all love.

Youth Cricket

2012 will again see Hook & Newnham Cricket Club with a full range of colts cricket from Under-9 to Under-15. Following on from recent years Youth members over the age of 14 are encouraged to participate in adult cricket with the Saturday 3rd and 4th teams.

In 2011 we regularly had around one third of the 3rd and 4th team players drawn from the youth membership. This gives the younger players who have the ability a great opportunity to enjoy competitive cricket and acts as a stepping stone into the 1st and 2nd teams as their skills develop.

Last, but by no means least, we also welcome our friends from Dove House School for those with learning disabilities.
